New Balance 608 v5orBrooks Addiction Walker 2
(slightly high heel to toe drop but it worked well for many of my clients)
Appropriate shoes are a very important piece of the puzzle during rehabilitation or performance training.
Used coherently, they will help an individual to hold onto the changes they are working on with their coach/therapist but also take away some compensatory strategies in order to make the process more effective and reach their goals faster.
Because shoe companies are constantly removing older models (some of which were great) and coming out with new models (a lot of them not so great), recommending a shoe is getting harder than ever and this is my best go at it.
These shoe recommendations* are the ones that I have recently found useful when working with my clients and athletes. These are only recommendations so please do not take these as absolutes.
I categorized the shoes into Early, Middle and Late Propulsive shoes (principle by Bill Hartman) and these are a rough recommendations:

I would recommend this for someone with a high arch with weight bearing mostly through their outside heel (traditionally supinated foot + inverted heel).
I would recommend this for someone who has the ability to feel their medial heel on the ground when standing and has a ‘’medium’’ arch + a good ability to pronate.
I would recommend this for someone with a very low arch or traditionally pronated feet - arch that cannot get off the ground (traditionally pronated foot + everted heel).
I would recommend this for someone with a high arch with weight bearing mostly through their outside heel (traditionally supinated foot + inverted heel).
(slightly high heel to toe drop but it worked well for many of my clients)
(I like the toe-heel drop but it has a rocker type heel shape though)
(I love this shoes, although the heel to toe drop could be 1-2mm higher)

Look below and choose. Minimalist/barefoot shoes will go in this category.
(or any other Altra's work - I would just stay away from the models with a very narrow heel if the goal is not just speed)
(love this shoes but would like to see heel slightly wider)
Outwork is almost zero drop; Outwork Edge has a small heel to toe drop — I would start here.
I would recommend this for someone with a very low arch or traditionally pronated feet - arch that cannot get off the ground (traditionally pronated foot + everted heel).
(might feel stiff and not nimble, so low arch people looking for trail shoes, look for something that gives your arch enough support)
Addiction GTS 15 (good for light gym workouts training) or Nike Romaleos 4 (heavy lifting).
I'd love to help you find the right fit for your foot type.
